Presenting Miss Annabelle Hegeman

My name is Annabelle Hegeman.  Home place is Maryland and went to a school in Pennsylvania and now I am a current student at the University of Akron.  I am currently a junior at the university majoring in AYA- mathematics.  I have always loved the idea of being able to help others learn and grow, and I have always been drawn to the subject of math.  Call me weird but I enjoy sitting down and trying to problem solve a math problem.  My math teachers in school have always had such a big impact on my life, they are the ones that always pushed me to do better and want to be a teach. They influenced my life in a way where I wanted to help kids be better and to watch them grow in learning and as a person. I have always had a passion for helping others and not just in the classroom.
I am also a current member of the UA women's soccer team. I have been playing soccer and traveling with it all around the states and world since I was in elementary school.  When I was in high school I started to realize that I also wanted to be a coach for soccer.  Starting my freshman year of college I started getting involved in coaching camps and high school soccer.  I have been coached under several great coaches and have always been influenced by how they interact with players and how effective they are as coaches.  Under their advisement I have been able to help coach for the past 3 years.  I have always had a passion for wanting to help make people/kids better as a player or a student.
